Marine Construction

Design build, docks, wharves, outfalls, ferry terminals, ramps, submarine pipe lines and cable crossings are just some of the types of Marine Construction work that FRPD has completed in Western Canada. Our versatile fleet of floating equipment includes derricks from 50 tons capacity to 220 tons capacity, flat scows from 24 tons to 2200 tons capacity allows us to quickly mobilize for all types of marine construction projects.

   

     


   

   

Foundation Piling

FRPD has an extensive fleet of foundation piling equipment. From Air, Diesel and Hydraulic hammers to drop hammers mounted on fixed, hanging, restricted headroom, and vertical travel lead systems, coupled with experienced crews and over 95 years of local knowledge, ñWe Set the Standardî for foundation piling. From timber piled house foundations to multi-million dollar foundation contracts in pipe, timber, h-piles, concrete piles and sheet piles we strive to provide superior service, quality and value to the market.

   

     


   

   

Environmental

The removal and disposal of contaminated marine sediments has provided an opportunity for FRPD to further demonstrate our ability to develop innovative and cost effective solutions to challenging projects. Work in this area includes permitting, response to oil spills, habitat compensation, low turbidity dredging, caisson dredging, fish protection systems for marine construction through the use of bubble curtains and silt curtains.
