Project details include removal, salvage or disposal of all the marine structures and concrete dolphins and wingwalls and including a new steel hydraulic ramp and walkway structure. Project started in September 2004 and completed in July 2005.

Canada Line Transit Project Fraser River Crossings; Marine Works Bridge Foundations

FRPD successfully bid the installation of the 914mm diameter and 2000mm diameter pipe piles and the supply and installation of the reinforced concrete caps for the CanadaLine Bridges crossing the North Arm and Middle Arms of the Fraser River.

The North Arm bridge required a 100 meter extension to the downstream end to Mitchell Island.

The project began in January 2006 and was completed in February of 2007

CP Rail - Pitt Meadows Land Development

Supply and place approximately 900,000m3 of Fraser River dredged sand for the CP Rail Land Development Project located just east of the CPR - Vancouver Intermodal Facility in Pitt Meadows, B.C. FRPD's cutter suction dredge "Columbia" and booster pump "Fraser" delivers the sand to the 28.5 Ha site via a 5.3m pipeline from the FraserRiver. The trailing hopper dredge "Fraser Titan" delivers the sand to the "Columbia" from the Fraser River Port Authority ("FRPA") Channel Maintenance Dredging Contract.æ Project started in January 2002 and completed in January 2003.

Deas Basin Expansion Project

Deas Pacific Marine - Sheet Pile Wall

The project consisted of Design, supply and installation of 70 meters of new anchored sheet pile wall and 56 meters of new un-anchored sheet pile wall using AZ26 sheet piles, Dywidag tie-rods, and concrete anchor blocks.

The works also included approximately 4,000m3 of excavation and structural fill, as well as development of Habitat Compensation Area.

Project started in June 2005 and was completed in August 2005.

Diavik Diamond Mine Project - Phase 1

Dredging of the lakebed sediments to facilitate construction of the water retention dyke of the A-418 Pit (approx. 1.2 km). The portable cutter suction Dredge "FRPD Explorer" was trucked to the site over winter ice roads in February, March 2005. Dredging was started in July and completed on time in early September. Pump dredge slurry 4.5 km to sediment storage site. In February, March 2006 the dredge will be returned to New Westminster where it will be refurbished for our next project.

Fraser River Channel Maintenance Dredging and Sand Management 1999 - 2009

The Fraser River Port Authority and Fraser River Pile & Dredge (GP) Inc. have entered into a 10 Year Channel Maintenance Dredging and Sand Management Contract effective June 1, 1999. This agreement will ensure the timely and efficient maintenance dredging of vital Fraser River shipping channels and continue an important aspect of flood prevention in the Fraser River Estuary. Annual dredging volume of approximately 1.2 Million m3.

Golden Ears Bridge

On this project FRPD is one of several Exclusive Subcontractors to "Golden Crossing Constructors JV" who are responsible for the Design, Construction and Maintenance of the "Golden Ears Bridge". FRPD is supplying marine construction and pile driving expertise for the project. With the use of our specialized equipment and highly trained and skilled workforce, we will be responsible for the following Scope of Work:
- Installation of 2400 dia. caissons and soil densification for the Bridge Piers.
- Dredging and placing of rip rap scour protection for the River Piers.
- Installation of approximately 5,000 concrete foundation piles for Overpasses and Elevated Portions of the New Bridge Connectors.
- Supply of approximately 725,000 cu.m. of Dredge Sand for use as Embankment Fill and Preload Material.
This project began in mid 2006 and was completed in the Spring 2008.

J.A.M.E.S. Outfall

The work consisted of supply and install 1080m of 1350mm dia. HDPE pipe outfall with 1200mm dia. x 12m long steel pipe connection to existing treatment plant and 75m long diffuser in main river. The whole outfall is buried a minimum of 1m below existing grade. Project was started in January 2004 and completed in March 2004.

Texada Shiploader System CO1 Marine Contract

Fraser River Pile & Dredge competitively tendered the marine foundations for the new Shiploader at Texada Island for Texada Quarrying Ltd. The project included the demolition and removal of existing twin Shiploading system and installation of the new Shiploader foundations. New construction included installation of steel pipe piles, cast-in-place pier caps, abutment and pivot structure, pre-cast girders, access walkways and crane rail. Project performed in two - 2 month phases, one in the fall of 2004 and the second in the fall of 2005.

Modalink Distribution Hub - Phase 1

FRPD was retained by the Owner to design and build a new barge loading facility in the main arm of the Fraser River. FRPD designed the new facility to confirm to today's environmental regulation and using a steel pipe pile and concrete deck system constructed the dock in a cost effective manner. April 2003 and completed in June 2003.

New Skeena Forest Products Environmental Remediation

FRPD was selected as the Marine Contractor for the removal of 54,600 cubic meters of PCB contaminated marine sediments from Porpoise Bay, at the Skeena Mill Site. The project includes the installation and maintenance of a fish exclusion system, oil boom containment system and a dredge turbidity containment system for the duration of the marine works. The dredge method selected was barge mounted auger dredge (DOP 2320). This system is supported by a conventional clamshell Derrick for positioning and obstruction removal. Project started in July 2004 and completed in March 2005.

Centerm Redevelopment

Fairview Terminal Expansion

This competitively bid project was won by Fraser River Pile and Dredge and our Joint Venture Partner, Western Industrial Contractors from Prince George, BC.

The project is to convert a caisson based marine berth to a partly pile supported container berth. The job includes 90 drilled and socketed piles (914mm diameter), concrete cap, precast deck, significant other cast in place concrete work and container rails.

Project started in February 2006 and completed in July 2007.

Northland Cruise Dock

Negotiated design build. The project scope includes the supply and installation of a total of eight pipe pile supported mooring dolphins, six Fentek fender systems, twelve aluminum walkways, twelve pipe protection piles, one passenger float and one passenger gangway platform. Project started in October 2003 and completed in April 2004.

Remediation at 8335 Meadow Avenue

FRPD was selected as the marine contractor for the construction of a permanent inshore and offshore sheet pile containment system made from 296 pair of modified AZ26 sheet piles. The project includes the construction of a new sheet pile structure with a total of 136 pair of AZ26, AZ36, and AZ48 sheet piles all fabricated and sealed using the Sevenson seal system. The sealed sheet pile containment system also required the installation of a engineered cap and the construction of a new intertidal marsh habitat area. Outside of the cap area FRPD will remove an estimated 9118 cubic meters of contaminated river sediments from six cell locations and the installation of an estimated 1000 submarine densification piles. Project was started in February 2002 and completed in September 2003.

Thurlow/Cordova Viaduct

Construct elevated roadway over top of active ALRT lines. Supply and install 62 drilled rock socketed caissons 1.220 meters dia. x 20 meters, 62 extended concrete columns. Supply and place 2900 cubic meters of concrete in elevated pile caps, place 86 precast girders and 492 precast deck panels. Project started in January 2002 and completed in January 2003.

Shiploader Demolition and Reinstallation

In December 2002 the 2 ship loaders in Berth No. 2 at Westshore Terminals were extensively damaged by a freak wind storm. FRPD crews and equipment were quickly mobilized to stabilize the damaged shiploaders and secure the site.

In January 2003, FRPD worked with the Owners, Consultants, and Shiploader Supplier to re-install the shiploaders in a safe and efficient program. The new system was opened in July 2003.

Marine Structures Capital Upgrade

Port Mann Bridge / Highway 1 Project (PMH1)

Fraser River Pile & Dredge was contracted by the General Contractor, Kiewit/Flatiron to assist in a number of areas of the project as follows:

•  Completion of one of the largest static pile load tests undertaken in North
   America.
•  Installation of 1830mm diameter piles up to 70m in length for four piers of
   the Port Mann Bridge
•  Construction of four large cofferdams for these in river piers.
•  Construction of a 450m long, 10m wide access trestle support on pipe
   piles.
•  Dredge to aid in pier construction.
•  Installation of approximately 6,000 timber densification piles.
•  Construction of several overpasses in conjunction with our Joint Venture
   partners Kingston and Bel Construction.

The project began in June 2009 and FRPD’s portion of this work will be completed in November 2011
