Dredging Division

FRPD’s Dredging Division owns and operates cutter suction dredges, a variety of clamshell dredges and a trailing suction hopper dredge. The Dredging Division is currently managing a multi year Navigation Channel Dredging Contract for the Fraser River Port Authority (FRPA). This contract includes the Maintenance Dredging of 34 kilometers of the Fraser River, Fraser Surrey Docks Facility and Secondary Channels that are within FRPA’s jurisdiction.

FRPD’s Channel Maintenance Contract allows us to dredge river sand, which is a renewable resource, and provide unique services for land preloads, land reclamation and supply of construction materials for use in many types of projects.

FRPD also has extensive experience working within the mining sector, with work in Manitoba, Alberta and the Northwest Territories. The Dredging Division has successfully adapted to meet the challenges presented, whether by customizing equipment or to working in remote areas of Canada.
