Environmental Management Statement
Fraser River Pile & Dredge (GP) Inc. (FRPD) is committed to operate all of its facilities and jobsites in an environmentally sound and responsible manner. FRPD aims to ensure that all activities carried out on its premises, sites, client sites, or undertaken by its employees and contractors, are managed in such a manner so as to meet or exceed all relevant environmental laws and prevent or minimize any foreseeable damage to the environment.
General Policy Statement
In furtherance of the above statement, Fraser River Pile & Dredge (GP) Inc. will implement and maintain an "Environmental Management Program" that at a minimum provides:
- Policies, procedures and programs that identify and address specific environmental issues;
- An internal review process that continually evaluates and improves our environmental performance;
- A decision making process that is designed to facilitate consideration of environmental impacts in our business, financial and operational decisions;
- A commitment to prefer goods and services that have the least environmental impact in our purchasing decisions;
- A well defined and effective set of contingency plans and emergency procedures;
- Recycling programs for all appropriate wastes;
- Regular communication of environmental risks and requirements to employees and contractors so that they have the knowledge necessary to conduct their work in accordance with environmental laws and internal procedures and programs.
In order to meet the company's environmental goals and obligations, FRPD will seek input from its Health, Safety & Environmental Manager, external environmental consultants and environmental legal experts. At all times, FRPD will maintain a team approach to the implementation of the Environmental Management Program.
