Equipment Department

FRPD’s Equipment Department manages and maintains a versatile fleet of cranes and spud barges, cutter suction, hopper, and clam dredges, dump and flat barges and an extensive inventory of related support equipment. The division’s goal is to leverage its mechanical and welding teams’ technical skills to ensure that all equipment is ready to support Dredging and Construction divisions as they compete for and execute various types and sizes of, Marine Construction, Land Foundation and Dredging projects across Western Canada.

Yard Operations Department

FRPD’s Yard Operations Department supports the Dredging & Construction divisions via the inventorying of various construction material & equipment to mobilize and demobilize for projects across Western Canada. Skills within the department include requisition fulfillment, logistics, and customs. The Yard Ops team works closely with Purchasing and Equipment departments to ensure dredging and construction project mobilization accuracy. The Yard Operations team also manages the day to day operation of FRPD’s pipe weld bed including scheduling and maintenance.

Purchasing Department

FRPD’s Purchasing Department executes both tactical and strategic sourcing activities in support of the Equipment, Dredging and Construction divisions, and the overall FRPD organization. Skills within the department include sourcing, analysis, negotiation, and vendor relationship management. Purchasing focus is adding value and lowering the total cost of acquisition for materials and services across FRPD.
