Through strong management commitment and "buy-in" from the workforce, Fraser River Pile & Dredge (GP) Inc. (FRPD) continues to be a Health & Safety leader in the Heavy Construction and Dredging sectors.

The Occupational Health & Safety Program (OHSP) is the frame work that supports all Health & Safety initiatives at FRPD. Our OHSP was developed with a proven "best practices" approach.

Our OHSP is managed under a Continuous Improvement system, and FRPD recently received a Certificate of Recognition (COR) from the Construction Safety Association of BC (CSABC) and WorkSafeBC.

At FRPD, we firmly believe that our approach to Health & Safety will continue to bring benefits to all.

Health & Safety Statement
Fraser River Pile & Dredge (GP) Inc. aims to ensure that all activities carried out on its premises, sites, clients' sites, or undertaken by its employees and contractors, are managed in such a manner so as to avoid, reduce, or control, all foreseeable risks to the health & safety of any person(s) who may be affected by such activities.

General Policy Statement
In furtherance of the above statement and the need to ensure compliance with all relevant health & safety legislation, Fraser River Pile & Dredge (GP) Inc. will pay aprticular attention to providing and maintaining:

  • A healthy working environment;
  • Safe sites, equipment, and work procedures;
  • Suitable and sufficient information,instruction, training, and supervision to enable our employees to comply with our Occupational Health & Safety Program and the WorksafeBC OHS Regulation;
  • Arrangements for the safe use, handling, storage and transport of articles, materials and substances;
  • First quality service to our clients while taking all necessary steps to prevent injury to our employees;
  • Appropriate management procedures and consultative arrangements to monitor and audit compliance with the legislative requirements;
  • Appropriate procurement policies to ensure that only competent sub-contractors and suppliers are engaged by Fraser River Pile & Dredge (GP) Inc.;
  • A Team Approach to health & safety.

To assist in the implementation of the Health & Safety Program, FRPD will seek input from its Joint Health and Safety Committee, Site Safety Coordinators, and Health & Safety Manager.

We all share in the responsibility for Safety at FRPD.
